Human rights issues have been around as long as humans have been on Earth. They are a huge point of importance now and they will continue to be as long as human roam the Earth. In order to give oneself an excess amount of human privilege, one has to usurp the human privilege of another. Even if slavery is something that I see is completely wrong and something that cuts off all basic human rights of a lot of people, it was something that was needed in order for America to not only stand on its own but thrive as a country. Even as human rights remain a focus in the world, it is our job as human beings to maintain the rights of human is this home we call Earth
