There happens to be nothing in this world better than some Kanye West, it's common knowledge. The only thing better than Kanye spitting some mad verses is his equally skilled poetry game. While Kanye has an ignorant and closed minded appearance, deep down Kanye is sophisticated and a lyrical genius. To listen to him deliver this poem hypnotizes anyone willing to lend an ear. Lines that Kanye says, such as "The people highest up got the lowest self-esteem", makes the audience think hard about present day society and the issues held deep within it. Kanye comes from a humble background, a situation like this allows him to view the world from a different perspective as he says "The prettiest people do the ugliest things for the road to riches and diamond rings". The way Kanye delivers the poem is noteworthy as well. Kanye opens with a shaky voice and nervous demeanor; this mirrors the message of the poem about being self conscience and worrying about every small movement made in the eyes of others. As the poem continues, Kanye becomes visibly more confident in delivering the poem. He realized that it doesn't matter what people think and realizes that "We shine because they hate us".
From watching Kanye's performance, I've learned a new perspective of life. It is powerful for me to see him act the way he does and not be self conscience and not truly care about what others think about him. I believe that Kanye is extremely admirable for acting this way. Kanye deserves to be called one of the greatest musicians ever solely based on the messages he delivers and also how he delivers these messages.
